Wyatt's therapy

Well Wyatt has been going to physical therapy twice a week since March 2010. Today he went to his session and learned that he has reached the point where he can stop coming. He went from being a -25 in his muscle strength and flexibility to being a 0 (which apparently is where he should be). Alot of the terms go over my head when they start describing everything, but the point is that he has improved so much in his muscle strength and flexibility that he will only have one more session.

Wyatt sees a Specialist every 6 months and his next appointment is in April. So if he backtracks at all the specialist can recommend that he goes for more therapy.

I'm so proud of him and the improvements he has made. When he started he couldn't jump and ran without bending his knees. He couldn't stand on one foot for more than 2 seconds and his balance was so horrible that he would fall right off a balance beam and couldn't catch his balance. Now Wyatt is riding his bike everyday and is now wanting the training wheels off. He can jump and balance better. He has made such progress and we are so proud. Unfortunately, the doctors say they don't think he will ever be superior in running, but we will keep up with his exercise and hope for the best. We still plan to put him in T-ball this year and hope that he will keep up and enjoy it.
