Family Trip

So this weekend Geoffrey decided to take us to Washington, D.C. at the spur of the moment (which for the record I had no problem with what so ever...lol) We had such a good time. We left early Saturday morning and drove the three hours up there. Then once there we hopped on the Metro and went to the Smithsonian musuems and saw the Capitol from a distance. We didn't go up to it because there were thousands of people there protesting the Health Care bill that was being debated there that day. We also took Wyatt to see the White House. Wyatt tells people that his daddy's boss lives there....lol. It was really cute.

On Sunday morning we got up early and actually found a parking space near the National Monument. We walked and saw the WWII memorial, the National Monument, and the Lincoln Memorial. We explained to Wyatt about the Lincoln Memorial and who he was. He was shocked that someone would shoot a nice man who was the President. He asked why people made statues of others and we told him that they were special people who went to Heaven. Wyatt said that we should then make a statue for our baby that went to Heaven. We thought that was really sweet.
